The Teacher Coordinator’s main role is to facilitate the transition between incoming and outgoing language teachers and to coordinate and update, if necessary, the curriculum for languages taught at Lha. Volunteers in this role will preferably have prior teaching experience, and can act as a resource for other language teachers in their lesson planning.
The Teacher Coordinator organizes and runs teachers’ meetings when necessary to address any problems which may arise with the curriculum, lesson planning, or class conduct. These meetings can be held on a weekly basis, if necessary, but otherwise are conducted at the Teacher Coordinator’s discretion. Volunteers in this role are also responsible for finding substitute teachers should any of the language teachers be unable to attend their courses.
