Lha Charitable Trust organized a five-day Soft Skill Development Training from January 5–9, 2026, at Upper TCV School, Dharamshala, to support students who remained on campus during the winter break. The program primarily served Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) students from socially and economically vulnerable backgrounds and was later extended to students from Mewoen Petoen School attending winter tuition, reaching a total of 74 participants.
Through interactive and experiential sessions facilitated by partner organizations such as the Tibetan Centre for Conflict Resolution, SEE Learning Level 1 facilitator, Tibet Theatre, Manara, and Ngoshe, students engaged in art-based activities, gesture theatre, emotional well-being practices, and conflict resolution exercises. These sessions helped strengthen communication, self-awareness, resilience, teamwork, and peaceful problem-solving skills.
The program created a safe and supportive learning environment, especially for students who stayed back during the holidays. Participants showed increased confidence, improved listening and communication skills, and greater emotional awareness and empathy. The training concluded with a special dinner for TCV students, staff, and the home mother, offering a meaningful moment of care, celebration, and belonging.
Building on the success of similar initiatives in previous years, Lha Charitable Trust remains committed to continuing soft skill development programs that nurture confident, compassionate, and socially responsible young leaders.
