Dear Ngwang la,
On behalf of everyone at Tulane’s Center for Public Service, we congratulate you and your devoted team on the 20th anniversary of the founding of Lha Charitable Trust. We thank you for working with Tulane University undergraduate students, faculty members and staff to help us learn with and contribute to the Tibetan community.
For over ten years, Lha has partnered with the Tulane Center for Public Service and the Tulane School of Social Work to offer a unique, four-week academic community engaged experience in India that provides students with service and learning experiences with Tibetan refugees. The program has paired more than 100 Tulane undergraduate students with Tibetan refugees for one-on-one language learning, group yoga and meditation, social and cultural learning exchanges with community based organizations, environmental clean-ups and fundraising among other mutually beneficial collaborations.
We are delighted that LHA Charitable Trust has supported a partnership with us and hope that we will continue to build deeper and broader connections in support of our common missions including the prosperity of the Tibetan community.
Thank you for your partnership and congratulations again on twenty years of inclusive community building.
Sincerely,
Agnieszka Nance
