Cleaning 1On 20th September 2015, Lha in  collaboration with the Clean Upper Dharamshala Program and Tibetan Women’s Association organized a mass clean-up to mark World Massive Clean up Day.
Cleaning 3The program started from 9:30am with volunteers, students and staff members of Lha distributing brochures in Tibetan, Hindi, and English on environment awareness and management of waste material in the town.
There were more than 100 participants including volunteers, students, and representatives who eagerly participated in the mass clean-up.

Cleaning 4Some members from Indo Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA) also took part in the programme. This time we focused on cleaning Bhagsu area including the river and surrounding as it is the main spot for tourist destination.

Lha has been working together with the CUDP and other respective organizations to maintain the town clean and green for several years. Educating the public through our environment website (www.tibetnature.net) and tri-lingual brochures and organizing mass clean-ups have been our major initiatives under the Environment Care Project.
Cleaning 5Lha appreciates the cooperation and genuine support of everyone who participated in our programs. Thank you very much and your support in our future mass clean-up programs will be highly appreciated.
