png 1Lha’s Soup kitchen programme was started on March 1 this year and has 33 beneficiaries as of April 2019. Under this initiative, Lha provides free lunch for the old, needy and underprivileged in the Tibetan community. This proved beneficial to about 70 people in 2018, around 40 of who ate a free meal every day.  Among the 33 beneficiaries this year, we have an old destitute couple in their 80s with no children or next of kin to support their everyday needs. As they are too old to come down to the common kitchen to have lunch by them, Lha has facilitated delivery to them.
