Five determined students have successfully completed the final batch of Lha’s Barista Course, marking another milestone in our livelihood development initiatives. Over three intensive months, these two young women and three young men immersed themselves in the craft of coffee-making and café operations. The program combined rigorous classroom learning with extensive practical training, covering everything from the precision of espresso extraction and the artistry of latte design to customer engagement and café management. Following two months of skill-building, the graduates spent a month working alongside professionals in established cafés, gaining firsthand experience in the fast-paced hospitality environment and building confidence in their abilities.
As these five graduates step into new opportunities, we celebrate their hard work and commitment to building sustainable careers. Special recognition goes to Mr. Karma Jigme, whose expert guidance and unwavering support made this journey possible for each student. Funded by The Tibet Fund, this program reflects Lha’s continued commitment to empowering individuals through practical skills training and meaningful industry connections, opening doors to employment and entrepreneurship in the thriving café sector.
