Community Clean up
Another mass clean-up took place in Mcleod Ganj on April 15, organised by Lha as part of our Environmental Protection and Awarness project. There were more than 90 participants including Lha staff members, students and volunteers. The clean-up started from the main square in Mcleod Ganj leading to Potala road and the areas surrounding the Kora – the circumambulation road which takes pilgrims, devotees, locals and tourists alike around HH the Dalai Lama’s residence and the Temple – and finished with a sumptuous lunch at Lha’s Ahimsa House.
Lha’s monthly cleanups are made possible with the help from Clean Upper Dharamshala Programme (CUDP) who arrange the garbage pick-up trucks. Lha’s General Secretary Dorji Kyi expressed her profound gratitude to everyone who turned out to help.
