Lha is managed by local Tibetan refugees who draw their expertise from first-hand knowledge of living in exile. To supplement staff efforts, Lha is aided by volunteers and generous donors from around the world.

Sonam Palden was born in Tibet and moved to India in 2002. He completed his schooling at TCV and holds a Master’s degree in Politics with a specialization in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has over five years of professional experience, having worked as a Tibetan News Reporter and Human Rights Fellow at the Department of Information and International Relations, CTA, and as a Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), where he managed capacity-building initiatives and subgrants for CTA departments and Tibetan settlement offices. Sonam has also served in various leadership roles within the Tibetan community and remains dedicated to community empowerment and institutional strengthening.

Tenzin Sherab was born in Tibet and came to India when he was just five. He studied in T.C.V. School Suja and later joined T.C.V. School Bylakuppe for his interest in commerce and trade subject.
He graduated from Andhra Loyola College with a Master in Business Administration from Symbiosis College of Pune.
Sherab joined Lha in April 2014 as the manager of Lha Tibet Fair Trade Company which is under the operation of Lha Charitable Trust.
Sherab was appointed as the Deputy Director and volunteer coordinator since June 2018

Tsering Dolker was born in Dhingri, Tibet, and came to India in the year 2000. She completed her schooling at the Tibetan Homes School in Mussoorie. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, and a Master’s degree in Economics from Pune University.
After completing her academic studies, Tsering Dolker joined as an accountant at Utsang Association for more than two years. Currently she joined Lha Charitable Trust as the Program Manager.

Lubhum Tsering was born in Amdo, Tibet, and relocated to India in 1998. He completed his early education at the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) in Gopalpur and continued his studies at TCV Bylakuppe. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mysore and a Master of Commerce from St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru.
Lubhum began his professional career as an accountant with the Tibetan Cancer Society (TCS), where he worked for over two years. He currently serves as the Media and Archive Coordinator at Lha Charitable Trust, contributing to the organization’s communications and archival initiatives.

Tsering Dolker was born in Doeguling Tibetan Settlement, Karnataka, India. She is currently working as the Volunteer
Coordinator at Lha Charitable Trust. She completed her schooling from
Tibetan Children’s Village School and graduated in 2018. Driven by her
interest in economics and journalism, she pursued a bachelor's degree in
Economics and Mass Communication at S.B.R.R Mahajana First Grade
College in Mysore. She has an experience working as a sales associate
in Pune, where she discovered her passion for building relationships and
solving problems. With this experience and knowledge, she felt inspired
to join Lha and contribute meaningfully to its mission.

Lhamo Choekyi was born in Lhasa, Tibet. She came to India in 2002 and did her schooling at Tibetan Children’s Village School, Gopalpur and did her further studies in New Delhi. She pursued Bachelors in Korean Language and Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
After completing her studies, she worked at ICS Global Intercarrier Service India Pvt Ltd (Gurugaon) as Project coordinator and worked as office administrator at Korean Electronic manufacturing companies for over two years.
Lhamo joined Lha in June 2023 as Livelihood Training Coordinator.

Tashi Tsomo joined the Lha office as an Office Secretary and Receptionist in September 2023. She completed her schooling at TCV and went on to pursue a diploma in Secretarial Practice in Dehradun. As part of her training, she completed a six-month internship at the TCV Head Office and Village Office. She currently continues to serve in the same role at Lha.

Lhakpa Tsamchoe was born in Kunphenling Tibetan settlement in Bhutan. She did her schooling in Darjeeling and had to drop-out from school when she was in class 8th due to health issues. Following that in 2011, she came to Dharamshala and worked in Tara Tibet Beats in Mcleod Ganj until 2020. For about two years, she stayed home looking after her son.
Lhakpa joined Lha as Office Assistant from November 2022.
