Lha’s free clothing distribution

Lha receives many practical donations from foreigners in the form of clothing, medicine, stationary and other materials. These donations are in turn given to the local Tibetan community and to the needy Indian community located in the slum areas of lower Dharamsala through the Dharamsala Rotary Club.

Each month we give one hundred to two hundred items of clothing to the Rotary Club which we jointly distribute to the Indian slum area once a year. On 10 October 2010, we distributed thousands of items of clothing to these slum areas. The locals were extremely grateful to receive new clothes, many being very happy with the latest trends in fashion! We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much to all those who have donated to this worthy cause and made this clothing distribution program possible.
