We extend our warmest felicitations and heartfelt Tashi Delek on the auspicious occasion of the 87th birthday of His Eminence Professor Samdhong Rinpoche and the celebration of Tibetan Teachers’ Day.
In keeping with its annual tradition, Lha Charitable Trust commemorated the 87th birthday of His Eminence Professor Samdhong Rinpoche at the Norbu House Conference Hall in Dharamshala. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Geshe Lhakdor, Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, who was invited as the Chief Guest.
Beyond merely celebrating Rinpoche’s birthday, as part of the organization’s initiatives to preserve and promote Tibetan culture and heritage, Rinpoche’s talks, teachings on various Sutra and Tantra texts, and written works are being preserved and disseminated through different platforms, making his profound knowledge and wisdom more accessible to wider audiences.
Furthermore, in honour of Rinpoche’s lifelong dedication to Tibetan education and culture, Lha awards Merit Scholarships in his name to outstanding graduating students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the study of Tibetan language and culture.
As Tibetan Teachers’ Day also falls on Rinpoche’s birthday, we take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all teachers, particularly the language instructors and livelihood skills trainers at Lha. Their dedication, commitment, and tireless efforts play an invaluable role in empowering individuals, nurturing knowledge, and strengthening our community.
On this special occasion, we once again extend our heartfelt Tashi Delek to His Eminence Professor Samdhong Rinpoche and our warmest greetings to all teachers. May Rinpoche enjoy good health and a long life, and may the dedication of all teachers continue to inspire and guide future generations.
