In September 2024, a series of “Menstrual Health and Hygiene Care” workshops were successfully conducted across nunneries in Spiti and Tilokpur to raise awareness and promote better menstrual health practices. On September 16, around 55 nuns participated at Sherab Choling Nunnery in Spiti Morang; on September 17, 25 nuns joined at Dechen Choling Nunnery in Pin Valley; on September 18, 16 nuns along with local women attended at Tsechen Choling Nunnery in Gowang Village; and on September 23, about 78 nuns took part at Tilokpur Nunnery, Karma Drubgyu Thargay Ling. Altogether, the workshops engaged 174 nuns along with local women, fostering important conversations on menstrual health and hygiene under the guidance of Mrs. Erja Sini Kaarina Varis from Finland, Miss Pema Lhakyi, and project coordinator Miss Tsering Dolker.
