20th Clean Water Project at Tibetan Library, Gangkyi

On 10th June 2015, Lha installed its 20th reverse osmosis water purification system under the Clean Water Project at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA).

The LTWA was founded by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in order to preserve the precious manuscripts of Tibet.

The cornerstone for the Library's impressive Tibetan-style building was laid on 11th June 1970 in the hill station of Dharamshala, northern India of the exiled Tibetan community.

Cultural Exchange Group from Centenary College

Lha hosted a student group from Centenary College, New Orleans in the United States, this month on the Lha Cultural Exchange Programme.

The group, consisting of nine students and their professor Dr David Otto reached Dharamshala on May 9. The group was here to explore the Tibetan refugee community and to learn more about Tibetan culture, Buddhism and the Tibet issue.

19th Clean Water Project at Delek Hospital

On 29th April 2015, Lha installed its 19th reverse osmosis water purification system as a part of Clean Water Project at Delek Hospital, Dharamshala.

Tibetan Welfare Delek Hospital is situated about 2km from Mcleod Ganj. With His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama's blessings, Tibetan Welfare Delek Hospital was officially inaugurated on October 4th, 1971. Lha's Clean Water Survey Report 2014

Lha has been installing water filtration systems since 2010 to provide clean water in an effort to combat the problem of poor quality drinking water which causes serious health issues. Sixteen units have been installed in:

11 Tibetan schools, two Indian schools, one nunnery, Lha's soup kitchen, and one old people's home. 7,080 people have benefited directly from the systems, which use a Reverse Osmosis/Carbon/UV process to eliminate all contaminants.
